As I was washing a couple of aircraft for a client I was again reminded of the importance of safety around planes. There are the usual damage concerns when working on a vehicle be it planes or cars. But the more prevalent concerns that come to mind are those of pilot and passenger safety. Great care is taken to avoid damaging any of the flight systems that keep these birds in the air. I am grateful to those who have mentored me in how to work on and around aircraft. The risks are very real and should never be taken lightly.

Winter car washing
A word of caution this winter…avoid the tunnel car wash when it is extremely busy to avoid additional scratches from the dirt on the car in front of you. If your wheel wells have a lot of mud and yuck in them…clean them first so the brushes won’t grab the grime and drag it across your fenders.
