Clearer outlook ahead!

It’s been interesting experiencing what “they” say. You know the ol’ saying,”Do what you enjoy and you’ll never work a day in your life. ” This week has been a good example of that wise tail.
I was asked to “do what I do” to this Cessna 210 and I believe the results are clear. (The Pun is coming) the exterior was treated to some oxidation removal, polishing and then finished in our high end wax. The interior was cleaned and conditioned with care. The spinner was polished and the belly lost a few pounds of grease and grime.
The real story, however, are the windows. (Speaking of the Pun) The windows were recently replaced and were already showing their wear. So…”we did what we do!” We polished them! Now the view is clearer and as a result the glare is dramatically reduced. The photo below exhibits the difference in clarity. At this stage the interior side had been polished on both the left and right. The exterior, however, had only been polished on the left. There are two sky lights in the ceiling but notice how diffracted the light is on the right. Imagine trying to fly into the sun under those conditions. Needless to say, I love what I do!

Taking Command of the week!

This week has been quite the challenge. Detailing this Commander has pushed the ol’ body to the limit. Next week we’ll finish it off and schedule the next one after a little R&R.

Ready for snow season!

If you’re going to I vest in such a fine automobile, why not protect the paint from rock chips. This CL was treated to a Paint Protection Film wrap in preparation for our Idaho winter driving.

Vintage aircraft!

This is a 1940s Taylor Craft that need a light polish. The plane was recovered and freshly painted in 1992 but the sun had taken its tole. Some say canvas airplanes can’t be polished but we say sure they can! What do you think?
